NEW YORK, NY. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 -- The 113th running of the Millrose Games in Track & Field Athletics NYRR Millrose Games – featuring track and field’s most recognized male and female stars as well as collegiate, high school, club, and youth competitors – is scheduled for Saturday, February 8, from 11:30 am.- 6 pm, at the NYC Armory in Upper Manhattan, and marks the official start of the indoor track and field season in New York.

Highlights of the one-day meeting will be the performance of a number of current champions including; 6-time Olympic Gold Medalist Allyson Felix, Shot Put World Champion Joe Kovacs, 800m World Champion Donavan Brazier, sprint hurdler Grant Holloway, Pole Vaulter Sandi Morris and a pair of milers – Elinor Purrier (Women) and Nick Willis (Men), going in the signature Wanamaker Mile.

With the 2020 Summer Olympic Games looming in the distance, sections of the highly anticipated meeting will be seen live on national television via NBC, from 4-6 p.m. ET, from 11:35 am.- 4 pm., on USATF-TV and from 4-6 pm, ET on NBC Sports Gold, from The Armory New Balance Track & Field Center, the home to the National Track & Field Hall of Fame and dozens of very large education-focused events.

Monday, April 27, 2020 -- This is an article to highlight a Coaching Guru who has emerged as being among the best in the world of Track and Field Athletics but remains virtually unknown among his fellow Jamaicans as an esteemed figure in the sport. The life of this unique and exceptional man named Derek (JugHead) Thompson began in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1954. He attended Calabar High School from 1968 – 1970 and Vere Technical High School from 1970 to 1973.
