How solitude finds the city that never sleeps with its lights still on.
By Leonard McKenzie Eastbound at 6Ave & West 23 @4pm on Wednesday New York for the first time, the glaring lights of Times Square, NYC, find itself alone. Without human interaction, the heart of the city that never sleeps now sleeps to the silence of hope. Time Square stripped to its glaring buildings finds itself in fear of the coronavirus pandemic. This rampant plague has resulted in a complete shutdown of the city for the first time in many generations. The approximately 5 blocks commercial entertainment intersection from 47 to 42 streets on 7 th Ave & Broadway finds the unusual interaction of people gawking at its neon lights. Folks are nowhere to be seen, Broadway theatre doors closed, street entertainers gone, human interaction and socialization separate itself far beyond the required 6ft boundary.
